Dinner Argentina Style

So last weekend my sweet husband and his friend/MTC companion Justin Conley decided to make their sweet and hardworking wives dinner, Argentina style!! They told us that they were going to make us dinner to show us how much they appreciated all our cooking. They also wanted to give us a glimpse of what it was like eating on their mission. Our dinner came in sections, first we got what they called Nuqois (pronunciation: Nuokies) which looked and tasted a lot like cheese ravioli with a tomato paste sauce over the top. Next we were served Empanada’s, not your typical ones you got as a kid growing up that was more of a desert, with yummy fruit inside. These were meat, potatoes and pees wrapped in a tortilla and fried and for extra flavor we dipped them in sour cream. They were really good. We also had an Argentina drink called Qurana that was like apple juice and sprite. For desert we had something called Milkies and Dulce de Leche, which was like a very thin sweet saltine cracker and caramel. We were very impressed at how well everything tasted. They did a really good job and had even more fun doing it.
Thank you honey you are a good cook!!
